What we collect

Nothing that identifies you. Your jurisdiction preference and any settings are stored in your browser's local storage; they never leave your device and we cannot read them.

Our web host records basic server logs: the time of the request, the page URL, and your IP address. These are the standard logs that any web server keeps, and they are retained for a short period to help diagnose technical problems. We do not analyze them for patterns and we do not sell or share them.

Email, if you choose it

We offer an optional email list for fasting-season reminders. It is managed through Buttondown, a small, privacy-respecting newsletter service. Subscribing is double opt-in: we send you one confirmation email, and you must click it before we ever send you anything else.

You can unsubscribe at any time from any email we send: one click, no friction, no "are you sure?" screen. Your address is never used for advertising, never sold, and never given to anyone else. If we ever closed the list, we would delete the addresses.

Third-party services

We use Google Fonts to load typefaces. This means your browser makes a request to Google's servers when you first visit. We load only the fonts we use. If this concerns you, modern browsers can be configured to block these requests; the site remains readable in system fonts.

Changes to this page

If we ever make a meaningful change to how we handle data, we will note it here with the date. The current version has no meaningful data handling to change, so we do not anticipate needing to.
